Brampford Speke offers the walker many delightful walks through lanes, tracks and paths.

This walk is ideal during spring or summer. It follows part of the Exe Valley Way and Devonshire Heartland Way.

There are no pubs in Upton Pyne but the church is well worth a visit.

It has not as been established whether Jane Austen has visited the village but it seems very likely that she based 'Barton Park' on Upton Manor..
