Colebrooke lies North of a Roman Road to Crediton and is surrounded by footpaths and bridleways making it a good starting point for walkers.
The landscape around this village has not been changed for centuries and is dotted with old Devon cottages and manor houses.

Walk 1 Coleford (4 miles)
Difficulty:
A very pleasant pub walk using public footpaths and quiet green lanes following part of the Devonshire Heartland Way.
Starting from the car park at the back of the church head towards the church and continue through the church yard.
Take bridge across the railway and at the lane turn right. Once over the stream take public footpath on right
In Coleford turn right into a lane which passes the New Inn pub.
Just before the lane makes a sharp right turn take footpath on your left and continue, across the railway line, into Knowle.
Here turn left onto Goblin Hill; at the T junction turn right then after 390m turn left on to a public footpath - some stretched can be muddy.
At Penstone turn right, cross railway line and return to Colebrooke.

Walk 2 Coleford (4.3 miles)
Difficulty:
Starting point is the same as walk 1 and like walk 2 it returns via Coleford.
It is worth popping into 
the famous olde looking 'New Inn' at Coleford.
There is no pub at Colebrooke.
