It offers a wet play area and picnic facilities.

Decoy was once a clay quarry but now supports a wealth of wildlife, It was named after a lake where ducks were led into a decoy and caught for food.

Walk 1 Blue Trail (0.7 miles)

Decoy Park

Difficulty:

This is a very short , easy and wheelchair friendly walk around the main lake. It starts from the car park and follows well defined paths.

Court Farm Inn, Abbotskerswell

This great pub walk starts at Decoy Country Park, skirts the big lake and climbs at times steeply following paths and tracks towards the delightful village of Abbotskerswell .

  • It passes the Court Farm Inn and the Exporium & Coffee House , both in the village. On the way back you follow the lane towards Abbotskerswell Priory, now a home for the elderly.
  • There are several stiles.
  • Although at times strenuous the views are quite stunning.
