Tiverton Georgian architecture,wildlife rich canal and rolling hills
This once prosperous town was named after two fords - one across the Exe, the other across the Lowman: Two-Ford-Town.
Much of the town centre was destroyed by a fire and rebuilt in a Georgean style by wealthy wool merchants The locals refer to the town as Tivvy .

| DJust before Lower Collipriest Farm turn left up a hardened track which changes into a public footpath climbing steadily to Gogwell.E Cross a lane (Exeter Hill) into a track & at farm take the left fork (Gogwell Lane). F At the end of the track cross over onto a public footpath. At the next lane turn left. At the next junction turn right, then right again into Tidcombe Lane G Return along the Great Western Canal. | |||
