This gentle rural walk follows quiet lanes and passes Rockbeare House,a Grade I Regency country residence of historical importance with it's impressive boundary walls.
One of the original Axminster carpets used to be kept in Rockbeare House,dating back to the late 18th century.
You get a good view of any planes taking off from Runway 08 as you start the walk.
There is a stretch through a wooded area which can be muddy after heavy rain - you can take a country lane parallel to the path.
In spring the hedges are full of wild flowers.
