Wistman's Wood near Two Bridges is known for being one of the oldest & highest oak woods in Devon.

Located on a steep hill, it has remained virtually untouched by ponies ,cattle and sheep and provides a unique insight into what Dartmoor would have looked like 7000 years ago - Dart means oak-trees.

Unfortunately, these secret woods have being vandalised by a minority.

For this reason we no longer support these walks until the woods are fully protected.
