This walk follows paths into Sidmouth along the river Sid. It then climbs steeply up Salcombe Hill; the views of the Jurassic Coast at the top are stunning and well worth the strenuous climb - it's an ideal place for a picnic
There is one very steep climb.

Walk 2

Walk 2 to Salcombe (5.2 miles) Time:2h 10 mins

 A slightly less strenuous but equally rewarding walk initially follows the river Sid to Sidford . It crosses an ancient Pack Horse Bridge then veers off into Knowle House estate - look out for the spectacular gates.
You return via the picturesque village of Salcombe Regis.
Caution : Take care crossing the A3052 to Lyme Regis.
busy crossingthe busy A3052 has to be crossed without islands. This makes the walk unsuitable for children.
