Roman coins have been found north of the village.

It follows mainly public footpaths and lanes.

There is one steep descent to the river Avon.
trafficAfter crossing the river, you join a potentially busy lane for 0.3 miles (10 minutes).

In Silveridge wood the path runs along an abandoned railway line to South Brent.
After crossing the river you turn left and continue following the river back towards Loddiswell.
