Difficulty:
A lovely walk with extensive views. Edward VII and George V used to stay at Membland Hall near Noss Mayo and would most certainly have done this walk.
The Walk
A From the Car Park near the tennis courts turn right into Coach Road then at the first junction left up Hillhead which joins Passage Road.
Continue past the Ship Inn.
After a steady climb through a wooded area with glimpses of the Newt on Creek on your right , the walk levels out with magnificent coastal views including the dreaded Mewstone Rock.
The path is nice and wide; it was designed by the Victorian Lord Revelstoke to entertain his guests in a carriage! Newbridge has a similar feature.
Legend has it that a local man was transported to the island and condemned to live there for seven years. The rock has seen many shipwrecks.
B You follow the South West Coast Path until a track to a Car Park. At this Car Park turn left then almost immediately right into a track which eventually takes you back to your car park or Noss Mayo.

Similar to the first walk but longer.
There is one steady climb and descent.
