Part of Haldon has in the last few years become a haven for cyclists due to its newly created cycle routes many of which share the old footpaths .

However, this peaceful walk is virtually cyclist free and culminates in a track through a rich forest similar to those found in Switzerland or Germany.

The route includes some steady climbs and a steep descent.
