This fairly easy walk with well maintained tracks and paths takes you through the delightful hamlet of Larkbeare, now cut off from the A303, to the spectacular grounds of Escot.
Here, you can take a break by visiting its cafe/ restaurant or gardens then continue across a beautiful landscape designed by Capability Brown .
Talaton,'town' near the river Tale, is mentioned in the Doomsday Book ;the village boasts a church,post-office and an attractively looking pub,the Talaton Inn.
