	Walk 1 Coastal Walk (3.9 miles)

Difficulty:

The route offers stunning views of Torquay and beyond.

In the distance you may hear a Dartmouth Steam train.

It returns via the charming hamlet of Churston and a 13th century  pub, the Churston Court Inn, making it an ideal pub walk.

The Walk

A From the car park head towards the beach and follow signs for the South West Coast Path (acorn symbol).

B Elberry Cove.
Take steps right of ruins of Bath House. Where the path splits take left branch with golf course on your right.

This unusual bath house was built by Lord Churston for himself and his guests.

C Here steep and narrow steps lead to Churston Cove. Follow rocky path along the coastline which steadily climbs to the top.

D At a fingerpost can turn right for Churston or left for Fishcombe Cove.

For Fishcombe Cove turn left into a track at end of a caravan site. This leads to the cafe and cove.

E Follow well defined path and part of the John Musgrave Trail to a fairly busy lane. Here, turn right then where lane bends turn right into Churston.

F Churston Court Inn,an impressive manor house ,was owned by Lord Churston and is well worth a visit.

G Continue past church and turn right into Links Close. Follow public footpath through golf course -diagonally left.
Ignore path on right and continue onto Elberry Lane

Caution  The route includes two steep and somewhat tricky steps , particularly near Churston Cove.

	Walk 2 to Greenway (6.4 miles)

Difficulty:

Agatha Christy lived in Greenway House , now national trust & open to the public. Check out website.

It returns via the picturesque hamlet of Churston and joins the southwest coastal path with stunning views of Torbay.

There is an opportunity to see the house and estate which inspired Agatha Christy to write Dead Man's Folly , one of the Poirot episodes.

It follows part of the John Musgrave Trail and Greenway Walk ensuring the paths are well maintained and the route captures the walker's interest!
