An Advanced TYP Editor to give new life to a Garmin map!

• Can I make it easier to distinguish between towns and villages? Answer: Change the font size
• Can I highlight Petrol stations or Electrical Vehicle Charging Points? Answer: Change bitmap size
• Can I make it easier to show unpaved roads.? Answer: Change bitmap height or colour.
• Change the colour of woods/parks? Answer: Change bitmap colour.

• Load the map's TYP file.
• Select polygons and click on the one which matches woods.
• In the editor, click extended labels and select 'nolabel'.
• Save TYP file
• Go Tools,Add/Replace Basecamp TYP file and click 'Add or Replace' button

Some Garmins are restricted to 64 or 15 colour palettes

Garmin calls it a 16 colour palette,even though it only contains 14 colours + transparency!

If you have a device with 65536 colours it can also be used to make some pastel colours brighter.

These tend to be the dominant colours for most Garmin devices Notice NO YELLOW
