Tintagel Walk |
There is more to Tintagel ('Neck of Land Fortification') than a just a walk straight to the castle and back again!
Please note:
Any walk around Tintagel involves a certain amount of climbing and descending.

Why not enjoy a fairly short but invigorating walk with spectacular views of a most dramatic coastline.
A From the Car Park turn left towards the shops . Walk past the Crossbow Cafe on right then take turning right into another smaller car park and past the toilets. Continue unto a path.
The route curves to the right and joins another path. Follow this path towards the sea.
Turn left unto a lane which leads past St Materiana church.yard.
B Just before another small car park take path right. Follow path along the edge of the church yard and continue parallel to the coast line towards the castle.
C Either take path left top castle or continue down to a lane and some toilets.
Do not enter lane but continue past Tintagel Castle cafe following the South West Coastal Path for 0.6 of a mile.
D Turn right into another footpath, which takes you back past a Camp site.
