A short and easy walk following lanes and some footpaths, even a disused railway line from Tiverton, into the heart of this quaint old village.

A memorial to Olande, a clothier, bears witness to a once thriving woollen industry.

Sampford Peverell one way (3.3 miles)

Sampford Peverell

Difficulty:

For the more adventurous,you can walk to Sampford Peverell, Halberton or even Tiverton and return using the 373 bus

Note: Do check if buses are bypassing Sampford Peverell or Halberton due to roadworks!

The route uses quiet lanes and public footpaths.

From Willand you join the cyclepath to Tiverton Junction. Follow this to the station then take lane past car parks.

At Golf Club take right fork .

Continue and carefully cross the A road unto a public footpath which eventually joins a cycle path along the Grand Western Canal.

Turn left.

Willand Sampford Peverell 3.3 miles

Willand - Halberton: 5.6 miles

Willand - Tiverton : 10.1 miles
