The Walk

A From the car park facing inland turn right towards Porlock Weir's harbour. Turn left onto a Footpath.

B Follow Coastal Footpath up the hill . At the lane turn right. After a minute turn left onto a footpath and continue uphill and follow path with stream on your right.

C After 0.9 of a mile turn left at the lane, then continue for about 4 minutes and turn right onto Yearnor Mill Lane.

D You are now following part of the Coleridge Way , named after the poet Coleridge. Continue along this undulating lane for about 30 minutes with magnificent views of the coast.

E At the fingerpost , where the road bends towards Silcombe Farm , turn right to rejoin the coastal path.

F Just before you enter the woods you will see a footpath on right. Turn right then In about half a mile you reach Cusbone Church where the wedding scene in Lorna Doone was filmed - for the 'real' Lorna Doone church click here.

G Retrace your steps then take the South West Coast Path back to Porlock Weir.
