This very dramatic, pleasant and fairly easy walk.
The Walk
A From the Car Park it follows a small track on left of the Bovey Tracey road to a turn off into the village of Haytor Vale.
B Follow signs to the Rock.
C About 100m before the pub the walk bears left into a bridlepath.
D After a while you join the Templer Way towards Haytor.and a old tramway to the quarry. Along here stones were transported to build the arches of London Bridge and the steps to the British Museum.
E You almost seem to be heading towards a forgotten settlement surrounding the majestic Tor.
F The quarry resembles a nature reserve with water lilies gracing its pools.
G From here the climb to Haytor (454 m) is steady crossing a most dramatic landscape with spectacular views all around.
There is one steep descent.

Quite a strenuous but rewarding walk ideal for a sunny day!
It includes several climbs and descents combining three Tors :
Haytor ,Holwel Tor and Hound Tor
Hound Tor, the one looking perhaps like a pack of hounds, offers magnificent views and overlooks the remains of a deserted medieval village.
A good place for a picnic as it is exactly half way.
