It follows part of the delightful Exe Valley Way and past Wood Barton which could have been Jane Austen's Barton Cottage in Sense and Sensibility.It is believed that Jane in her youth stayed at Pynes House.

Dogs need to be kept on leads during climb up Upton Pyne Hill - this lane can be busy.
