A pleasant and easy walk to the village of Feniton Court - no pub, but a PO and a delightful church. From here you follow an old lane dramatically cutting through the local stone ,then turn right into a public footpath leading to a wood where deer have been seen. The walk also passes a stone commemorating the Prayer Book Rebellion 1549.There was heavy fighting near the bridge between the 'rebels' and Russel's army.See on Google Earth |
