Walk 1 Moretonhampstead (5 miles)
Difficulty:
Access is tricky, following narrow lanes. However , the walk can also start at Moretonhampstead.
The village has a free carpark and a delightful pub , the Ring of Bells
The walk
This most varied circular pub walk includes a long & narrow stone bridge, stepping stones (which can be bypassed), & magnificent views of Dartmoor.
There are several steady climbs and one steep descent.
Much of the landscape assumes the appearance of an estate/park created by the second Viscount Hambleden.
The walk follows part of the Dartmoor Way and if you are in the area twe highly recommend this walk
