This delightful and easy, dog friendly walk starts in a small car park west of Kingsteignton.

It follows part of the Templer Way next to the disused Stover Canal , past Locksbridge Tea Garden (TQ12 6QP) half way to the delightful Stover Park.

It returns along the river Teign.

The Ted Hughes Poetry Trail opened in 2006 follows paths in Stover Park and displays his poems along the route.

As you leave the car park, turn left towards the railway bridge then right into a footpath along the disused canal and follow the Templer Way into Stover Park.
