This short walk starts in the idyllic village of Brampford Speke and partly follows the Exe Valley Way; the church of Upton Pyne is well worth visit. Near Bidwell Barton is a graveyard of old machinery, now completely overgrown but glimpses of the Devon's past are still fascinating.

Brampford Speke enjoys
a good food pub called the Lazy Toad Inn and
The Exe Valley Tea Shop, check the web for opening hours.
There are no pubs in Upton Pyne.
This is an easy and one of our most popular walks.
